How Do I Get Started with a Wooden Balance Board?

Most people spend at least 8 hours each day sitting. This much idle time can be deeply harmful. A wooden balance board is a workout accessory that can easily be incorporated into your normal workday for heightened focus and increased physical activity throughout the day.

Get started with your wooden rocker board. Place it on a flat surface. Begin by first placing one foot on one side of the rocker board, keeping it at a slant.  

Now, find your balance — you can put your arms out if it helps — and gently push into your opposite foot until you find your center. Focus on pressing slowly, keeping your knees bent, while you try to find your center. 

Once you find your balance, extend your legs almost entirely. Bring your arms to your side and breathe. You should feel your core and ankle muscles engaging.
